As we're heading into the holiday season, I wanted to create a variety of birthstone pieces that are great for gift giving. This season is always a popular time of year for birthstone jewelry, so I decided to create lots of new birthstone options in the shop.

Most of the newest designs are made-to-order or limited edition. You'll find a mix of colors this month ranging from the deep reds of garnet and ruby to the cool blues of aquamarine and blue topaz. If you're looking for a matching necklace and earring set, you'll find a few matching sets this month. I also added a few more pieces to my customizable birthstone series. Most of the designs are lightweight and designed with comfort in mind. I hope you find something you love--whether it's a treat for yourself or a gift for the upcoming holiday season.

Here I am balling the ends of silver wire to create headpins. I heat the bottom of the wire with my torch as it melts and thickens into a silver ball.

In this photo I am hammering marquise shapes I created for a pair of crystal quartz earrings.

Here I am fusing three silver granules to a silver ring. Using my torch, I carefully heat the surface of the silver until the pieces fuse together.

In this image I am using a steel mandrel and a mallet to shape a silver ring into a circle. I will then use a steel block and hammers to texture the rings.
