- New for Fall -
The summer seemed to fly by in the studio. I can't believe we're already heading into the cooler autumn months. I wanted this early fall collection to serve as a bridge between the seasons. The new collection features several pearl designs with a mix of other colors and stones. You'll find a more neutral color palette with both cool and warm tones. In addition to pearl, I used labradorite and opal in some in the newest pieces. There is also an emphasis on organic shapes like teardrops and petals in many of the new designs.

Behind the Scenes
The photos above and below show some of the new pieces while they were in progress.

Here I am creating bezels for a mix of teardrop cabochons.

In this photo I have placed several small balls of solder near the base of bezels. Next I will use a torch to heat the silver to a high temperature so that the solder will melt and flow between the bezels and backplate.

Here I have just soldered small elements like bails to these pendants. The silver is coated with flux which helps protect the metal during soldering.

In this image the pendants from the previous photograph have been cleaned, oxidized, and pre-polished. The next step is to set the aurora opals.

In this photo I am using a bezel roller to set a baroque pear into a ring.

Here I am getting ready to set cabochons into their settings for two new labradorite pendants.
